EMANARSE LAB
This course is not a fixed path; it's a series of dynamic travels and crossings through the body, traversing the realms of Performative Theatre, Dance-Theatre, the art of Butoh, and Performance Art.
Tailored from a solid methodology, the journey unleashes and become a new experience for each unique group, incorporating traces brought in every meeting by each participant. A ride that remains perpetually unfinished, ready to be reinvented in the process, incorporating the rich material revealed throughout the practices, improvisations and circles.
Here, there are no stringent rules; instead, an environment steeped in trust, confidence, empathy, and potency prevails. It's a realm where poetry intertwines with movement, where dance, music, and writing converge. Ritual becomes an integral part—a conduit for magic crafted through authentic connections to our instincts, memories, and stories. It's a space to synchronize with the state of 'presence,' where safety reigns supreme, and we all are both witnesses and creators.
Here, within the sanctum of shared breaths, participants unlock the doors to their concealed histories. Memories, experiences, traumas — painted on the covert canvas of movement. Together, we shape clandestine rituals of rebirth, whispered tales of metamorphosis.
Emanarse Labs unravel across 40 to 50 hours, developed over 10 to 12 weeks, meticulously crafted according to the unique dynamics of each edition. It's a rhizomatic dance of individual and collective work, where each woman not only shapes her own Rite* but also directs her passage-creation within the shared tapestry of the collective experience.
*Rite is how we call the final improvisation. It is a rite of passage that brings together traces from the participant history that comes to the surface along the process throught sensations, movements, words (and slip words), drifts, transported into poetry in a piece created by you, improvised with the sisters. This collaborative work is a healing and expressive art form — your very own tapestry of existence.
